My Story

Hello, my name is Shoshana. Thank you so much for taking a moment to read through my profile and consider if I may be the person you are looking to find.

I cannot begin to imagine what your journey is like and hope that you are given every support and opportunity available. If you have come to a place where you feel as though an adoption plan is the right choice for you and your child, I would love to take a few moments to tell you why I am hoping to adopt and what that future might look like.

My Career

My whole life I have loved kids. When I became a big sister again at 10, I thought it was the best present in the entire world and eagerly participated in any childcare role that was allowed. I babysat through high school and worked at summer camps and as a nanny in college. After college I found a job working with children who were struggling with significant mental health concerns. As a teen I had been to a therapist during a rough patch and with my mom as a mental health counselor, the field was not foreign to me. My work with these kids inspired me to go...

Words from Loved Ones

“If you’d asked me when we were 14 who among us was the most natural mother, I would have said Shoshana, hands down. I’ve always thought she looked most at home with a baby on her shoulder. Taking care of people comes naturally to Shoshana, and I have no doubt that she would make an excellent parent.”

-Erin, childhood friend and adoptive parent of one

“Shoshana is the friend who comes to see us. She wants to help her friends,...

My Home

I bought my home because of its kitchen. It has the most gorgeous countertop that wraps around three sides of the room, giving me ample space for all my cooking and baking. Growing up my mother always had homemade meals for us nightly and I have continued this tradition of healthy, home cooked meals into my adulthood. Every summer I plant a small vegetable garden and look forward to fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and whatever else survives the neighborhood bunnies that year. My elderly pup, a 14-year-old shih tzu named Molly, truly does a terrible job keeping...

My Family & Friends

I come from an extremely close, supportive, and fun-loving family. I am blessed to live one town over from my parents, who remain very healthy and are beyond excited to welcome another little one. My father is near retirement and has all but asked for a grandchild who lives close to home as part of his retirement plan. Until now, the only grandchild in the family is my sister’s son, who lives with them out in the Rockies. My other sister lives with her fiancé a few states away. Despite the distance, my family remains extremely close. We are in...

For Fun

I am both a homebody and someone who loves new experiences. Though most weekends I am puttering around the house, I also enjoy short excursions such as goat yoga, a local steampunk festival, or a living history museum with a friend. The hospital where I work takes Halloween very seriously and I love the creativity involved in coming up with a costume each year. Finally, Marathon Monday is by far my favorite day of the year; since 2014, I have been a passionate finish line volunteer through my affiliation with the American Red Cross.

To a Mama Looking for the Right Home

First, thank you for reading this far. I am honored that you have found something in this profile that has made you want to read to the end. I could never begin to imagine what it is like to experience what you are going through.

Though I hope to have an open adoption, I will respect what is right for you, if you feel that I am the right fit for you and your child. I want any child I raise to grow up knowing about and embracing their own culture and heritage so that they can feel proud of all parts of who they are....
